Pogba’s Time at United is Over, Says His Manager
Paul Pogba’s manager dropped a bombshell when he said his career at Manchester Unted is done.
Mino Raiola created a stir as he made the announcement on the eve of the Red Devil’s crucial match with RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
“I can say that it’s over for Paul Pogba at Manchester United,’’ Raiola said, according to the Daily Mail.
AT ODDS WITH RAIOLA
As he made the revelation, Pogba has yet to make a comment, same as United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has been at odds with Raiola.
There have been reports in recent past that the 27-year-old midfielder has been wanting to leave the Red Devils.
That speculation was further enhanced after Italian publication Corriere dello Sport reported that a “divorce’’ is coming for Pogba and United.
But he has stayed since and in fact played in their recent matches, even scoring one of the tea’s three goals in a 3-1 win at West ham Unite in their latest Premier League fixture.
Raiola’s expose could distract not only Pogba but the whole team as well especially so as United bid to gain at least a draw against Leipzig at Red Bull Arena.
They might also be off-focus when they clash with old rivals Manchester United in the Premier League derby this Saturday.
Pogba remains United’s record signing at £89million but has been vocal about his intention to leave Old Trafford which he left as an academy star for Juventus only to return amidst much fanfare.
Last October, he hinted of a possible move to Real Madrid, which according to him is his “dream.’’
The insinuation was dismissed by Solskjaer who claimed Pogba would stay with United for another two years.
Pogba’s present contract deal expires at the end of the season but United have the option to offer an extension for another year.
As things have yet to be finalized, one question lingers: Will Pogba leave United again?
Your guess is as good as ours.
